My fave girls!

Hi everyone!
Sorry we have been MIA from the blog world but we have been super busy! Two of my greatest friends, Katie and Molly, came to visit us (me and my friend Christy) last week! We always have a blast every time we get together! We went to the Dr Pepper Museum in Waco, shopping in Round Rock, and just hung out gossiping and "girl" talking! Here are some silly photos of us that Christy took while they were here...isn't she a fabulous photographer?!?! :)
Crazy and fun times at the Dr. Pepper Museum!

 Hanging out with the girls...
Dinner at Dead Fish Grill on Lake Belton-love these girls!!!

4th of July

We spent 4th of July playing in B's new pool and having our own little photoshoot! We wanted to take B to see the fireworks, but she couldn't stay up that late! Hopefully, next year we will be able to take her. Here are some of the best pics of the day! Hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July!

B's new splash pool...
She had a great time splashing in the water...

Daddy helped her sit on the dolphin...woooo hooo this is fun!
Fun in the sun!
We tried to get a good family picture because we haven't had one taken as a family since Christmas! Unfortunately, B wasn't cooperating and neither was the sun, so this is the best one we got:
I took this one of B and Tim as they were looking at the ducks by the pond...

Sitting pretty while Mommy struggles to put a bow in my hair...haha!
Daddy is sooo funny...
Playing in the blinds...
Peek-a-boo...
Happy 4th of July!

B's Mac-n-Cheese

B and I are so thankful to have a wonderful chef as a daddy/husband! We received 2 baby cookbooks for Christmas and tonight Tim made B mac-n-cheese from scratch! It was yummy!!! He also added some broccoli and tomatoes so she could have some veggies...de-lish! If you are a Mommy or Daddy and want to make this for your little one, here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
2 ounces butter, cut into cubes
1/4 cup yellow onion, diced very small
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk, hot
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
8 ounces mild cheddar cheese, grated
1 to 2 splashes hot sauce (seriously...it helps the dish but if you think it's too weird, then feel free not to use it...Tim used Cholula)
orzo or elbow pasta, as needed

In a 4-quart pot, cook butter and onion over medium heat until onion becomes soft and translucent.
Add flour and cook, while stirring, for 2 minutes.
Whisk in hot milk. Whisk well to avoid any clumping.
Bring to a boil.  Milk will thicken. Whisk often to prevent any burning.  Reduce heat, add nutmeg, and simmer 5 to 6 minutes.  Continue to whisk to prevent burning.
Whisk in cheddar cheese.  Simmer an additional 2 minutes and add hot sauce.
Keeps for up to one week in the refrigerator.
To serve, toss hot pasta and sauce together. You may need to thin sauce with a splash of water.
ENJOY! :)

Cake Balls

I love, love, love me some cake balls! I could eat these every single day! You can make them using any kind of cake mix, but I prefer strawberry or red velvet! YUM!!! Make some today! You won't regret it!

Cake Ball Recipe:
1 box strawberry or red velvet cake mix (cook as directed on box for 13 X 9 cake)
1 can cream cheese frosting (16 oz.)
1 package chocolate bark (regular or white chocolate-I use white for strawberry cake and regular for red velvet cake)
wax paper

1. After cake is cooked and cooled completely, crumble into large bowl.
2. Mix thoroughly with 1 can cream cheese frosting.
3.Chill for several hours. (You can speed this up by putting in the freezer.)
4. Roll mixture into quarter size balls and lay on cookie sheet. (Should make 45-50-you can also stick toothpicks or candy sticks in them at this point and make cake "pops")
5. Melt chocolate in microwave per directions on package.
6. Roll balls in chocolate and lay on wax paper until firm. (Use a spoon to dip and roll in chocolate and then tap off extra.)

Sea World!!

Tim and I took B to her first big theme park this past weekend--SEA WORLD! Thanks to my wonderful husband being in the military-our tickets were free! Woo hoo! At first, we were a little concerned that she might not like it because she is so young, but she had a GREAT TIME! There was so much to see and do, but we couldn't do it all, so we just took her to the areas we thought she would like the best.  Our first stop was the "L'il Lagoon", which is a shallow pool with lots of toys for little ones.  As you can see, she LOVED it!

I swear she would have stayed there all day if we let her! It was getting late, so we headed over to the Dolphin Cove, where you buy small fish to feed the dolphins. The dolphins will swim right up to you so if you are lucky, you can pet them as well! B was getting tired at this point, so she wasn't as excited about the dolphins as Mommy and Daddy were!

Overall, we had a wonderful time and B was PERFECT! Tim and I are so thankful to have such a happy daughter!
Doesn't she look just like Daddy? :)

Here we go...1st post!

Well...I took the leap and decided to join the blog world! Woo hoo! I wanted a place to show/share all of my family's adventures, travels, and milestones with our sweet little 10 month old daughter.  I hope if you are reading this, you will enjoy all of my posts! Please feel free to comment/share any ideas or changes you think I need to make!
Hugs to all!
